Wow, a full two weeks since I last blogged.
Gardens, motherhood, and wholesale orders
have kept me away.
I have missed it here.
Well, two brooches actually as I will be
selling these as a set.
Fun, huh?
Another reason for my blogging absence.
My sweet Lab, Satchel, passed away this past week.
It was unexpected and the grief has
been great.
If you are a pet owner, words of wisdom for you:
always be patient
give an extra treat
love your friend every chance you get
take lots of pictures
cuddle everyday
I am so, so sorry about Satchel. I have two dogs and I can't even imagine losing them. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo sorry you lost Satchel...I truly understand. I lost my wonderful dog a few years ago. I have always heard the question if you could choose to spend time with anyone in history who would it be and people would say something like Oprah, Abraham Lincoln or Mother Teresa.....I would say.... My precious dog. I wish you peace. Linda B.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you lost your friend. It is so hard to lose them. Wishing you comfort.
ReplyDeleteThe brooches are lovely. Are they filled with resin or covered in glass?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you lost your dear Satchel. As I troll the web I have noticed several cyber friends who have lost pets recently. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Sorry, Jen...it is devastating.....to lose a best friend....

Thank you all for your condolences. Life goes on and my remaining dog, a 12 yo Weimaraner named Suki, is getting completely spoiled!
ReplyDeleteAlice, the glass is vintage (circa 1950) watch crystals! Nifty, huh??
Jen, sorry to hear about your sweet Satchel. I am sure you have a beautiful lab shaped scar on your heart, it is so hard to say goodbye to a loved pet.
